The Nevada Legislature, which is only capable of dealing with the
complications of the 1864 one-room schoolhouse philosophy is restrained
by its structure from using 21st Century concepts of problem solving. Nevada simply can’t
get past the belief that the Nevada Constitution, the legal, social and moral concepts of the 1860’s were good enough for that time and therefore must be good enough for this time. You can’t
run in the Indianapolis 500 with a buggy drawn by two horses.
Perhaps if the met in a one room school house instead of the fancy Capitol they would understand a little better.
ReplyDeleteI think the question speaks for itself. I read the Nevada Constitution and it doesn't say it anywhere. It just talks about the terms of office and the election. Not anything about age requirements.
