Cannot Compete
What happens when higher education funding from the
state stops? –which it will. Tuition and research must pick up the
shortfall. Unfortunately, research at UNLV has been neglected and not
supported by either private
industry or any part of the state’s economy. UNLV earned forty million
dollars in research income last year. Ohio State University earned a
little over 800 million. With these figures in front of you, you can
see that UNLV cannot compete with a school like
Ohio State University.

What kind of research is UNLV noted for?
ReplyDeleteWhen I Google UNLV sports seems to be the dominate feature. Who ever is in charge of promotion the research accomplishments need to do a better job of outreach. If they don't have someone to do this, I'm available!
