The distinction between a Mitt Romney and someone
like me is that I went into the broadcasting business to provide
information to the public. My secondary reason was that I hoped I’d
make enough profit to sustain and constantly improve
my business. My product is information. Its by-product is a profit.
Those like Mitt Romney create nothing. Their only reason for being in
business is to take your money that you’ve earned and put it in their
pockets. When you listen to Romney, you begin
to hear loud and clear his belief that because he’s rich, he should be
president. Nothing could be further from the truth.
I don't recall Obama creating anything either.
ReplyDeleteThat is a much better comparison than the one about the loan shark yesterday.
ReplyDeleteYou are a very successful owner and that is a great thing.
I think the people over at Bloomin Brands would offer a different opinion of Romney and Bain.
Bloomin Brands is kinda like you. But they had a problem back a ways and required the help of an investment outfit. Bain rescued them.
You may know them, you may even have had the opportunity to frequent a few of their establishments (thanks to Bain) Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba's Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse, Roy's
Bains byproducts are rescued, successful companies that go on to hire people. What this tells me about Romney is he does know how to put people to work. He does know what it takes to create sustainable jobs. He also knows not every efforst will be successful but in his and Bains past, more often then not, success was the outcome for the company in need of help and the outfit providing that help.
"Because I'm rich"? How about "because I know how to help make others wealthy and along the way the byproduct will be many more jobs this country is sorely in need of right now."
You see, both of you know how to create jobs. I believe, deep down, you see it in yourself too.
