If
Ford Motor Company did as bad a job in promoting its product as higher
education does in promoting its product, not one Ford would have
ever been sold. It may be that parents are the fundamental problem in
our education system but that failure is as much or more the failure of
the educators to educate the parents than it is the fault of the parents
who made little or no effort to determine
education’s shortcomings.
I feel many parents think of school as a baby sitting service. Add to this that here, in the Las Vegas area, a good number of parents are in low paying service jobs and assume their kids will be too.
ReplyDeleteAs for promoting higher education, educators don't have a clue, you need folks with private sector marketing experience, for example, those that promote Ford!
