The Poster Boys

Regents Jason Geddes and James Dean Leavitt know less about institutional governance of a higher education system than a pig knows about calculus.

Both are long on arrogance and self- importance and short on running any endeavor, whether large or small.  They are the poster boys for all the reasons to appoint regents rather than electing them.  Appointing regents would certainly have its risks but I believe those risks would be far outweighed by a process that required applying for the job and proving you can do it.
