Number One Candidate

Even a dog knows the difference between being tripped over and being kicked.

DRI President Stephen Wells, one of the world’s greatest experts and outstanding higher education executives recently applied for the presidency of UNR.  If not the number one candidate, he was certainly as good as the other four finalists.  In fact, he was far superior to three of those finalists, including most notably, Marc Johnson.

But the fix was in.  Johnson was to be president and no other facts had any relevance in the search.  If Steve Wells decides to leave DRI, you should not be surprised – you should be outraged.

Look what a world-class job the regent leadership has done in insulting a world-class educator.
