Horsford's Ego

The funding formula developed many years ago for distributing and allocating state funds among the eight higher education institutions of Nevada was so unfair that UNLV was shorted $600 million over 30 years.  Horsford, who always puts his own career above the needs of his constituents in southern Nevada, knew the funding formula was flawed and yet he did nothing until he began to run for Congress and learned that the funding formula was an issue that could help him win the Congressional race.  Like every other Horsford position, his actions were motivated only by his own interests rather than the interests of the state.  This man’s ego is so great that I wonder how he can get his head through a door.

Haven't Heard

Not only do I not hear from Horsford, I haven’t heard from one of his supporters who believes I am wrong in my assessment of Horsford. It looks like we all agree on his short comings.

All-Expense-Paid Trip

Before the legislative session, Horsford, who has one set of rules of conduct for everyone else and one set for himself, used his rules to justify going on an all-expense-paid trip to the Bahamas courtesy of an on-line gaming company.  Other than the fundamental issue of his integrity, his greatest mistake was returning to Nevada.

Problem

One of the many short comings of a majority of U.S. citizens is they believe there is a simple answer to every complicated problem. They can’t understand why the rest of the world doesn’t know this. Steven Horsford, though a Democrat, has this same problem. Have you seen his latest ad which has his solutions to all our problems? The man has no understanding of banking, the workings of the fed and the necessity of the bailouts of the automobile and financial industries. He has no intellectual ability or work history that would enable him to solve any of this state’s financial or political problems. He is the cheerleader for irrelevant platitudes regardless of party affiliation. He’s not competent to hold any public office; certainly not an office in the federal government.

“Rules of Conduct”

Horsford has two “Rules of Conduct”.  One for Horsford and one for everyone else.  He expects everyone to pay their bills but he doesn’t pay his.  The man has no understanding of money, how it’s made, how it is spent and what results should be expected from wise investing.  He certainly is not a person I’d ever let near my financial structure.  The perfect example of his misuse of funds is the state’s failure to maintain the physical conditions of its K-12 system.

Sensitive To The Needs

I thought Horsford would be sensitive to the needs of Nevada’s African American population.  I thought his election as a Congressman would go far to satisfy those needs.  I couldn’t have been more mistaken.  The list of ten groups that Horsford represents consists of one name and one name only.  The name is Horsford.  There’s never been anyone or any group that Horsford represented other than himself.

Best Interests Of The State?

Rather than tax businesses that send their Nevada profits out of state, Horsford voted to impose more sales taxes on Nevadans.  Horsford represents anyone who will support his candidacy for higher office rather than represent the best interests of the state.
