Right Wing’s Psychotic Belief

I’m 74 years old.  I voted in every election since I was in college.  Most of the time it’s been for a Democrat.  But many of the Republicans who ran, although their philosophies were different from mine, were men of integrity, thoughtfulness, reasonableness and true devotion to this country.  I found that to be true even up through the George W. Bush election.  The last four years have not only driven me from supporting any Republican candidate, they have frightened me because of the right wing’s psychotic belief that everything is wrong and only they can fix it.  Fixing it is impossible if these right wingers get into office.  Their thinking defies logic.  Their thinking is not based on fact.  Their thinking is the result of a gathering of many mental midgets who have stoked each other to believe they’re right.  I hope and believe they will fail.

The PAYGO Program

CCSD uses the Facility Condition Index (FCI) to decide the priority of the facilities to be improved.  This index is used to create the list of more than 40 schools that need critical systems repairs and determines the two replacement schools that the PAYGO program will fund if the voters pass the initiative on November 6, 2012.

Romney

The distinction between a Mitt Romney and someone like me is that I went into the broadcasting business to provide information to the public.  My secondary reason was that I hoped I’d make enough profit to sustain and constantly improve my business.  My product is information.  Its by-product is a profit.  Those like Mitt Romney create nothing.  Their only reason for being in business is to take your money that you’ve earned and put it in their pockets.  When you listen to Romney, you begin to hear loud and clear his belief that because he’s rich, he should be president.  Nothing could be further from the truth.

Question 2 | Condition Of Schools

Question 2 seeks authorization for funding for immediate and critical short-term needs. The  CCSD conducts thorough evaluations on the condition of its buildings. These assessments consider the age and condition of the schools’ level of technology, air conditioning, heating, plumbing, electrical, roofs, and essential equipment as well as the physical condition of the school.  The assessments give each school a score called a Facility Condition Index (FCI), a national benchmark to compare costs of repairs, renovations and replacement of facilities. 

A Romney Type

If you never dealt with someone in Mitt Romney’s business, you have no idea of the insensitivity, the brutality and the destructive nature of business people like Romney who believe the only measure of success is how much wealth they create for themselves.  I had one occasion with a Romney type in New York about 30 years ago.  He told me he would lend me money at 26% but that I need not worry about paying it back because he would take any payment overdue in stock in my company.  When the meeting ended, he suggested we go to dinner.  I told him I could not look across the table at his kind of trash.  I left obviously without a deal.

PAYGO - 6 Year Plan

The PAYGO plan is a six years plan.  It cannot be extended without voter approval. The Board of School Trustees implemented measures to limit the plan funding to no more than $120 million per year.  Even if local property values rise, the levy would not generate more than the plan cap. Funds would be collected over six years, beginning in the fall of 2013. As funds are generated, projects will be completed.

Oceguera Spent The Last Legislative Session...

Like his cohort, Steven Horsford, Oceguera spent the last legislative session running for Congress instead of running the state.  Let’s hope he fails at the former the same way he failed at the latter.
